Abstract

Context and Motivation
International trade has always played an important role, and in the development of the
international economy, it has played a very important role. In the era of digitalization, trade
has become increasingly easier, more accessible and has contributed enormously to economic
integration. Global crises, such as COVID-19, but also political and economic conflicts have
highlighted the imbalances of international trade. A point that brings us here, why is
international trade so important and how does it help global development?
Research objectives:
In this paper I want to bring to the fore the importance of international trade, especially in the
modern economy. We are talking about sustainability, trade liberalization, conflicts that have
influenced trade, as well as history that shows us exactly what mistakes have been and are
being made out of political and economic interest.
Methodology:
In this paper I analyzed economic articles and reports, information and economic examples
from the WTO (International Monetary Fund) or the World Bank. An analysis of US trade
and the impact of their actions on the economy, especially America.
Results:
The result suggests the importance of international trade, with a significant impact on
economic growth. However, the benefits of globalization have not been distributed equally
among all countries, and economic crises have shown how fragile the economic chains
between countries are. The economic analysis shows how international trade has enormously
developed the market, but political and economic interests intervene, destroying effective
collaboration between countries.
Contribution of the paper:
The study highlights the importance of international trade and economic development
through effective collaboration between countries. The existence of a balanced economic
policy would contribute enormously to a much better, efficient and sustainable global
economy
